Mix Your Own Fruit Bush / Tree Soil

Being that I love mixing my own soils I have long experimented with what soils work best and which parts of each has the best results. This has lead me to trying several store bought soils and then experimenting with my own soil ingredients, which I have long learned that I favor mixes without top soil, clay, etc. I have found a very basic mix is often the best for my berries, fruit trees, and fruiting bushes. You simply need to have a large bucket or a wheel barrow for mixing in and a shovel for mixing. In order the make the mix use two parts compost (for nutrients), one part perlite (for drainage), one part and peat moss. Mix well and until soft, fluffy, and consistent. You can then use this mixture for your containers (which I do) or to help plant your new plant baby in the ground.
